What is Donation Router for GiveWP & PayPal?
Some organisations run two or more separate charities, for example one in the United States and one in Canada, that share a single donation website but must handle money separately. Donation Router makes that work with GiveWP and PayPal.
A donor says which country they are giving from, the gift goes to the right PayPal account, and the receipt carries that charity’s own name, address, tax details and receipt number.

A simple country question
A pop-up asks donors where they are giving from and remembers the answer for the visit.
Receipts for each charity
Each receipt shows that charity’s registered name, address, tax ID, tax-deductibility statement and its own receipt number.
Easy account setup
Connect each PayPal Business account through the sign-in flow GiveWP already uses. You can also adopt the account GiveWP is connected to.
Live and test side by side
A test account can never take a live donation.
A check that it is working
A readiness panel tells you about missing rules, mismatched accounts and anything else that would send gifts astray.
Safe fallback
If a country has no rule, the gift goes through GiveWP’s normal PayPal account and the panel reports it.

What do I need before I start?
At least two PayPal Business accounts and a GiveWP donation form for each country. With a single account there is nothing to route.
Does it work with recurring donations?
Not yet. It routes one-off donations; recurring gifts use GiveWP’s own path.
Can one account receive gifts from several countries?
Yes. Each country has one rule, and you can point as many countries as you like at the same account.
How are refunds handled?
A refund made the normal GiveWP way goes back through the account that took the payment.
