## What is it?

Building a navigation menu takes time, and copying one by hand takes almost as long. Swift Menu Duplicator adds a Duplicate button to the menu screen, so a full copy, with every sub-item in place, is one click away.

It also keeps snapshots of your menus, so a mistake can be undone, and lets you export a menu from one site and import it on another.

## How it works

1. **Open a menu**: Go to Appearance → Menus and choose the menu you want to copy.
2. **Click Duplicate**: Give the copy a name. It appears at once with every item in place.
3. **Keep your work safe**: Snapshots are saved automatically. Restore an earlier version whenever you need it.

## Questions

**Does the copy replace my live menu?**
No. Theme locations are not copied, so a duplicate never takes over an active menu.

**Are sub-menus kept?**
Yes. All parent and child items stay in the right places.

**Does it work with translation plugins?**
Yes. Language settings are cleared from the copy so it starts as a clean menu.

**Does it work with block themes?**
Yes. There is a separate tab for Navigation menus.
